Mike earned a master's degree in Music Theory and Composition from University of Northern Colorado in the Spring of 2008.

While attending UNC, Mike performed with Lab II (big band), the Salsa Combo, and the Symphony Orchestra. He has extensive experience in a wide variety of styles, including jazz, funk, classical, latin, and several types of rock and roll.

Mike has performed with nationally acclaimed musicians Dana Landry (piano) and Jim White (drums), and has accompanied world-renowned trombonist Paul McKee during a Greeley Jazz Festival clinic. He currently performs throughout Colorado, contracting music for weddings, private parties, and corporate events.
